Cartoon morals

I was doing my fave thing on a Saturday, ie watching afternoon cartoons! Ha. And the amazing thing is, something philosophical, if you would like to call it so, came out of today's episode.

Well, two guys are envious of each other - without knowing so of course, except for a girl who is their mutual friend. So the moral of the story comes when she used the triangular kind of Japanese rice ball as an analogy.

She said that each of us is like the rice ball. We have a pickled plum (or salmon as what the guy preferred), on our back. But not seeing it, we think that we are just another plain rice ball without anything special about us. And because we can see only others' plum on their back, we think even worse of ourselves. The thing is therefore, for us to remind others that they too have a special (albeit preserved and mouldy) plum and they have strengths which we might not have. Well, i guess we should carry a mirror in front of us, so that we can reflect their strengths that they carry on their back whenever they turn round. :)
