Wonder-full
Good tuesday. :)
Anyway, was thinking about the 'geopolitics' that occurs in the toilet. Ha. I haven't done any proper survey or study on how people negotiate space in the toilet, but some things i observed and wonder about:
^ 3 cubicles - 2 seats and 1 non-sit (the other name for it sounds too crude), in the order NS-seat1-seat2. Suppose seat2 (being the corner one & nearest to the door) is taken (usually is the case), which one will you enter next? NS or seat1 (but next to the occupied seat2)? Given that you are the only other person in the loo. The issue of privacy comes into play here - which links me to point two.
^ Nobody likes to hear or be heard uRm, P-ing right. So there's a dilemma here - to 'respect' the privacy of the person next door and also to give yourself a bit more private space to do your biz, OR stick to your preference (assuming you're one of the normal ones who prefer the seat-loo)? BTW, flushing before the 'deal' is 'closed' would be too weird. :P
^ Obvious fact: strangers use at least one basin away from you.
^ A delicate balance of friendliness and mind-your-own-biz-ness has to be struck too - especially at the basin area. Like you see your colleague there and wonder if you should smile or just let her powder her nose in peace.
Oh well. Just another of my weird thots...
Maybe I should oHmmmm and focus my thots on something else.
POOh bear...
