Thanksgiving

Thanks to all who've prayed for me, encouraged me, listened to my complaints, bummed with me for the last 5000+ hours of my no-school life >>>>>>

I've got a job! :D

T i m e s   M e d i a   P t e   L t d (Curriculum PublishG), a subsidiary of   T i m e s   P u b l i s h i n g   G r o u p  (am typing this way so as to exclude my blog from search engines), is leading publisher of educational books for the primary and secondary levels. Well-positioned in this region and beyond, we seek individuals to join us as Publication Exec.

Responsibilities:
* You will coordinate all aspects of book production from manuscript to printed books
* Edit the content and language of manuscripts
* Liaise with authors and designers, and carry out market research

Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Maths, or
* Bachelor of Arts in English Language/Literature/Geography/History
* Proficiency in English is an essential requirement
* You should also be meticulous, organised, have lots of initiative and an ability to work under pressure

They are offering me a 3 months contract first, for me to see if i really like to do this, and also for them to gauge my performance i guess...which i'm pretty glad to accept... except that it's at Upper Paya Lebar (quite quite ulu... dun see any nearby eateries!), 8.15am - 6.03pm (ask their HR dept)... haha which means i'll have to wake up at a ghostly 6.30am everyday... and er, i forgot to ask if it's 5 or 5.5 work-week. :P Starting work on 11 August... PARTY with me!!! ... b4 my no-social life begins.

Thank God for letting me learn the lesson of trusting in Him fully and sincerely through these few months of job hunting. I was worried and didn't really feel assured and peace until i truly believed that He will open and close the right doors. The verse which i hanged on was from Romans 8: 28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. " Heh, not saying this just b'cos i have the job... but just sth that i've re-learnt in a deeper manner & would like to share it with u who's reading... :)
