Cocoonfied
*breathes*
Friday might well be an official Thanksgiving day every week. Thank God for His grace in pulling me through the tides of work and stress that I have to face each day. It's the only day which the belt of anxiety is slightly loosened around the mind and the heart regains its regular pump. No kiddin'... Someone should have taught us in school that the most dangerous thing one could do is not playing with fire, or sinking your head in a bathtub... but WORK.
(Okok.. not that it's all that mean and bad and ugly... can be kinda interesting and fun... but... can i dun?? :) )
To all who have remembered and offered sacrifices to me, * t h a n k s * a bunch!
The Twentysomething book (am reading!), the punk-pink-air-pork-ball, the wat-am-i-gonna-do-with-these flowers, the another-version-slick-looking bible, the oh-my-goodness-it's-so-cool LOMO! (will post some decent pixes when they are out.. prolly like next year... unless i finish the roll of film by taking more accidental shots of myself when pushing the camera into the box after winding it).... and most of all, the friendship that you have chosen to bestow upon me. =)
The 23rd year of my life. Woah. 20 years ago, i was still in diapers. The world outside the Kim Tian road small housing estate was non-existent. Days were spent running around the market area with my brothers and their sidekicks, waving at policemen passing by on police cars and playing paperdolls. 10 years ago, it was the beginning of my teenagehood... in a school that i was initially reluctant to enter (despite putting it as my first choice!). Hanging out after school, staying in school (to do what?), cracking silly jokes, throwing tantrums, laughing at weird teachers, trying out vices, hating the useless swimming course, missing primary schoolmates, skipping choir practices...
10 years from now - (watch this space).
Lord, place your dreams in my heart. Impress them deep enough to never fade away, and let them leave an imprint clear enough to call it Yours. Seal it with your signet ring - "for no document written in the king's name and sealed with his ring can be revoked." (Esther 8)
