Who Deserves What?
Just watched the news about a bunch of volunteers who have been delivering foodstuff donated by some companies to poor families. It's really nice of them to do so especially, as one claimed, when they have to take the public transport while lugging the bags of stuff to the homes of those families.
Thing that bothers me is that those foodstuff are near expiry or are surpluses from factories. Ok, at least they are free and haven't gone bad yet. But it's kinda sad that we are giving the poor something inferior. Sort of. They don't really have a choice to the flavour of the drinks or the kind of food they receive. Maybe the foodstuff they receive are those which we dislike. Hence the surplus, right. And ya, I know they are running a business; and if they give everything for free, nobody will get anything for free eventually. uRghz, I don't know what i'm complaining about... Do you?
