Hens' Night

Just came back from a discussion with my gal pals about The Big Day (TBD). And prior to TBD comes the hens' night party. Of all the things in the world that we can do, seems like the only thing that everyone else is interested in is to dance-get drunk-check out clubs with the cute guys-and-eat classy breakfast at some hotel the next day (which i bet will become brunch or tea in the end). All those new places that have popped up... i'm totally clueless about the night scene here. Could only nibble on my brownie w gelato (tell me i'm a sicko -- my 2nd brownie in two days). Well i gave suggestions... like The Living Room. Er.. sounds cool right (something i picked off from one of those trashy mags in the cafe). Except we've no idea how it looks like. :D

Not really against clubbing and stuff... but going out with the aim of spending $ and getting drunk to celebrate spending the rest of your life with someone else sounds a bit... pointless? And contradictory. Good thing hiring a male dancer or whatever like those shown on TV isn't a norm in our culture over here... else i'll surely FLIP~!

Guess i'll follow along and be the bags-caretaker. -_-

Blurred Vision

If you're short-sighted, you may feel uncomfortable with the idea of going without spectacles, even for just a day. Maybe because i am so used to seeing clearly that i can't stand being visually handicapped, especially when i'm not at home (sometimes i wonder how i will survive if i lose my spectacles during times of war). It's like seeing clear vision is the norm and the perfectly correct thing to do. Well to avoid stepping on cockroaches, yes we do need clear vision. But maybe looking at things in a blurified manner would actually help us see what we should be looking at instead. Because we are not distracted by the other unimportant details which are screaming for our attention, we will finally notice the big picture, the shape of the object, the crux of the issue hidden in the midst of it all... ?

There isn't any point to this rambling. i'm just procrastinating and avoiding my homework.
