Hello.
Yey, i heard from my mum today that the hokkein-mee uncle has woken up from the coma! :) That's really good to hear.
Life seems to be so short at times. Especially scary when you reflect on what you have achieved... or not. And you panic because you have lesser time to do something about this whole thing called Life. Looking at people around me, I wonder if they do think about what they want to 'achieve' in their lifetime and if they have ever wished for something more. If so, what is it? And would they have indeed done their lives justice by spending effort on reaching that? What would ... ?
Sometimes, thinking about some things makes me feel very bothered. I feel sad when i imagine myself to be in a particular person's shoes and feel what he/she might be feeling and not knowing how to untie the knots. How it must have felt to be caught in a cocoon of problems which stick to me like cobwebs; to feel anxious about the mess that i've done to my life, and inadvertently others'; to feel helpless; and to want to just call it quits sometimes - except this isn't playstation where you can restart. Off the power and that's really Game Over.
It's like starting out with a clean, new sheet of paper. First, there'll be pencil marks. Drawings, plans, dreams. Slowly, mistakes are made. Those irrevocable ones are marked by ink. No liquid paper, but well.. it's still ok. Can still try to ignore some of it. Then creases begin to appear on the paper. Gradually, stray ink marks increase and the paper becomes more crumpled and torn no matter how much you didn't want that to happen or tried to keep it clean and orderly. After all, unplanned messiness isn't exactly 'art' to you. 'Hmm, well at least I had some additions of pictures and stamps that marked my achievements' - you think to yourself. But one day, you realise that some of those marks start to fade while some are crowded by the unsightly ink marks. 'What happened to my plans and dreams? What am i to do now with the limited space left??' ...
Maybe the purpose of having that piece of paper to start out with is to hand it to the Artist of Life. I'm still learning to let the Pro take over.
