Love
... works wonders. Keeps a relationship alive despite wrongdoings. Had a glimpse of that again today... like Peter and Jesus. Denial, prayerlessness, rebellion, wrong company, forgot own identity in Him.... Bottomline, God sees our heart. I'm real thankful for that. Been struggling sometimes about this Love. In my head, but easily forgotten. Love washes away guilt so that i can start on a clean slate once again. :)
Strange...
Read from ST yday that a 26 year-old lady insured her FACE for 280,000 pounds for fear that her husband might leave her one day when she's no longer "attractive". And her panel of judges would be 10 builders - a test she said her husband appreciated, being a builder himself. In fact, i quote: "'When I met him, I knew he was the sort of person who likes good-looking women but I've had a baby now and my figure isn't what it was before... He hated it when I was pregnant and my figure was changing and it was out of our control." What the ... ??? This means, she can claim that much of money if she turned unattractive at any point in time, and what would she use the money for? No, not to remarry... but to beautify herself again.
Well, for 200-pounds a year, i personally think it's quite a good deal... Heh, but in exchange for the money would be a hurt ego. Imagine 10 guys telling you that "Sorry, you are hereby pronounced to be UNATTRACTIVE." Woah. Wonder why they got married in the first place. Looks do matter, but to such an extent where there is fear and insecurity in the relationship and in herself, it's degradatory and miserable.
